What Can I Expect At My First Appointment?
Dr. Lifrak likes to take the time to know her clients and addresses their specific concerns. Her approach to assessment and treatment is comprehensive, thoughtful, and highly individualized. During the first appointment with a new client, Dr. Lifrak completes a thorough psychiatric evaluation.
A psychiatric evaluation is an assessment of an individual designed to diagnose emotional, behavioral, or developmental conditions and/or disorders. She will likely talk to you about the following topics:
- Individual History
- History of the Problem
- Family History
- Substance Use History
- Developmental History
- Previous Mental Health Treatment Episodes
- Medical History
- Social History
- Mental Status
Once Dr. Lifrak completes your evaluation, she will make clinical recommendations to create an effective treatment plan. This will begin your first steps towards a happy and fulfilling life.*
